Guide Wheel

The Guide Wheel is the reaction element of the hydraulic torque converter, which is fixed on the guide wheel shaft or guide wheel sleeve in one direction through the one-way clutch. A pulley used to guide the drive belt through obstacles or to change the direction of the drive belt, which is located between the turbine and the pump wheel.

Guide wheel system is one of the key components of multi wire cutting machine, which undertakes the transmission of metal wire. Its rotation flexibility, end jump and diameter jump are very important to the reliability of the whole equipment. This paper studies the structure of the whole guide wheel system from the design point of view, designs the guide wheel shaft, calculates and analyzes the service life of the whole guide wheel system, and finally meets the requirements of the equipment.
Working principle and structure design
The guide wheel system is responsible for the transmission and direction change of the metal wire of the multi wire cutting machine. The maximum linear speed of the multi wire cutting machine is 680 M / min, and the corresponding guide wheel speed is nearly 3000 R / min, which requires the guide wheel system to rotate at high speed, with flexible rotation, small runout, high reliability and long service life, so as to ensure the stability of the metal wire tension and the overall reliability of the equipment. At the same time, the guide wheel system is all on the side of the receiving and setting out box, which is in a dirty working environment. Mortar fluid will inevitably stick to the guide wheel. In order to ensure the flexibility of the guide wheel rotation, the sealing device must be designed for the guide wheel
The whole guide wheel system is mainly composed of spacer sleeve, guide wheel shaft, guide wheel, gland, bearing and other components. The guide wheel is the embodiment of the final accuracy of the whole system. The metal wire moves at a high speed in the guide wheel groove to drive the guide wheel system to move at a high speed. The rotation accuracy of the guide wheel reflects the accuracy of the whole system. Therefore, the whole system must ensure the rotation accuracy after the guide wheel is installed, i.e. rotation flexibility, end jump and diameter jump accuracy, The high-precision angular contact ball bearing used back-to-back ensures the rotation accuracy of the guide wheel system, which has high precision, long service life and small end jump and diameter jump[ 1]
Life calculation of guide wheel system
The structure of the guide wheel system is analyzed. The guide wheel is a vulnerable part and must be replaced after working for a certain time. In order to facilitate disassembly, the corresponding structure is also designed. The service life of the guide wheel cannot be used as an indicator of the service life of the whole guide wheel system, so its service life mainly depends on the service life of the selected high-speed rotating bearing. In order to meet the requirements of high speed and high precision of the guide wheel system, high-quality angular contact ball bearings are selected for back-to-back installation[ 1]

Through the experimental application in multi wire cutting machine, the guide wheel system has the characteristics of flexible rotation, high precision, good sealing effect and low failure rate.
